      Position Purpose: The Assistant Coordinator – Renewables position provides on-site construction support in a variety of functions such as GPS surveying, document control, and field reporting. This entry-level position places the successful candidate on Renewable Energy projects located across the country including wind farms and solar stations. This position is project based and therefore travel is required. Project assignments could range from 3-12 months.

      Essential Responsibilities

      • Assist with the daily job reporting, job books, material procurement, record keeping, document control, and QA/QC documentation
      • Operate GPS receiver to layout cable installation routes and record as-built information
      • Assist with the development, updating, and tracking of key performance metrics that will optimize performance, productivity, and reduce costs
      • Work with Project Supervision to set up job structure from beginning i.e. safety, scheduling, subcontractor management, permitting, document control plan, cost codes, job cost spread, and material/tooling plan
      • Work with purchasing on material orders and required submittals
      • Provide weekly updates to project supervision as needed
      • Work with customer and field management on schedule development and assist in maintaining during course of project
      • Ensure all paperwork and administrative tasks such as Safety Plans, JSA’s, Inspection/Testing Results, Progress Reports, Daily Job Journals, RFI’s, Timesheets, Extra Work Reports, Purchase Orders, Packing Slips, Tool Reports, etc. are properly maintained and routed
      • Proactively and timely identifies and communicates project related issues or gaps to project supervision
      • Catalog, update and maintain project drawings to include As-Builts and assist with preparing turnover package to the client or owner
      • Call in utility locates and refresh to keep current

      • Computer skills including familiarity with Microsoft Suite

      Qualifications

      • BS/BA in Construction Management, Engineering, Business Administration, IT or related field preferred

      Work Environment

      • Position is project based and therefore travel is required. Project assignments range from 3-12 months
      • Often works in outdoor weather conditions
      • Occasional bending, stooping, squatting, reaching, climbing, lifting
